This artwork is made from wood, an orange nyc saftey cone and doll parts. The gorgeous natural woood grain show thru in parts of the "face". Benkin and kept this peice fairly abstract. Al loves using alternative materials to construct art- it’s a liberating "anything goes" type feeling because there arent any rules.. For this work Benkin used materials discarded around NYC and gives them a “second life”. “Crimson and Orange Figue” won the Brookyn Waterfront Art Council’s “Curator’s Choice” award in 2018. This is a one of a kind original artwork, signed by Al Benkin of Mutantland art and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
